Today our hope is to provide you with clear next steps to move you onto a team and into you purpose. If you are a follower of Jesus, you are called to serve Him and to serve people in His name. We are not made to be spiritual consumers. God has called us to be spiritual contributors.
Serving on a Dream Team is where you’ll continue to grow relationally and spiritually as you walk in what God has called you to do. Seasons of life can be full, but we believe that God is going to use you to make an impact. The church does not exist for us. We are the church, and we exist for the world. We invite you to begin now and take your next step.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another” I Peter 4:10 (NLT)
We want everyone to feel welcome at Home Church and we recognize that everyone is on a different stage in their spiritual journey to become more like Christ and all He has called them to be. It is our desire that everyone that joins a Dream Team would use the Bible to determine their behaviors, speech and attitude and strive to honour Christ by exhibiting and upholding Biblical standards.
People matter to God, so they matter to us.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4
Real life-change happens and real leaders are developed when we take a step towards intentional relationships.
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” Philippians 1:3-5
We are a people of purpose, working together on purpose.
“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28
There is nothing more powerful than a life changed by Christ.
“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Philippians 4:8- 9, 13
Acting in love toward other members
“Have a sincere love for other believers, love one another earnestly with all your heart.” 1 Peter 1:22
Refusing to gossip
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs.” Ephesians 4:29
“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.” Hebrews 13:17
Attending church and small groups faithfully
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42
Living a godly life
“But whatever happens, make sure that your everyday life is worthy of the Gospel of Christ.” Philippians 1:27
“A tenth of all you produce is the Lord’s, and it is holy.” Leviticus 27:30
Praying for its growth
“To the church...we always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers.” 1 Thessalonians 1:1-2
Inviting others to attend
“Go out into the country…and urge anyone you find to come in, so that the house will be full.” Luke 14:23
Warmly welcoming those who visit
“Warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you; then God will be glorified.” Romans 15:7
Discovering my gifts and talents
“Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you.” 1 Peter 4:10
Being equipped to serve the vision
“God gave...some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of ministry, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:11-12
Developing a servant’s heart
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus...by taking on the very nature of a servant.” Philippians 2:4-5, 7
The gifts test is designed to be taken quickly during a single sitting, and typically takes 5 minutes to complete. We encourage you to be open and honest. Enjoy!

Our Dream Teams are scheduled using an online program called Planning Center. You will receive an initial welcome email that will set up your profile. You will then be able to log in from any internet- connected device. You will then receive email or texts to let you know you are scheduled and you will accept or decline each request. You are also able to set up block-out dates and time preferences, you are only scheduled when you are available. If a leader tries to schedule you, they'll see your blocked- out dates and know you won't be able to serve without even having to ask.
You can also log in at any time and manage your schedule by visiting planningcenteronline.com. The great thing about having your own account, is that you can update your email address, password, profile picture, or set up text messaging any time you want from your Profile page.
