We exist because “EVERYONE NEEDS JESUS, EVERYONE NEEDS A HOME" and we believe that teaching of the Word of God is the basic foundation of a successful person’s life. We are passionate about the ongoing need to equip and train leaders to influence our world. We are a local church College that equips next generation leaders to lead in every sector of life, whether church, business, health, education or other sector of society - we are all called to lead. The classes are a combination of Theological and Leadership classes taught by a variety of Pastors and leaders from Home Church.

Week Overview
Our week consists of 3 full days (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) of teaching from 8:30 am until noon, and then practical ministry from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Students are expected to be involved with either “HCYA” (young adults ministry) or “HCY” (youth ministry), a small group, and occasional evenings with “Heart for the Church” or Conferences. All students are involved with service teams at all our Sunday services whether at the Red Deer location or their home location. The College runs September to April.
Practical Ministry
Practical ministry is one of the unique things about Home Church Bible College. We are a local church College where each student is involved with our local church so they can learn to serve, grow and love what Jesus loves. Students are required to participate on Sunday service teams, a practical way to live what you learn in the College! Students from out of town will be involved with our Red Deer location while they are in Red Deer. Students who are from nearby, and are joining us for College from another church or location, are encouraged to serve, build and grow their local church on weekends.
There will be occasional times throughout the year, however, that all students will be expected to serve at Home Church for conferences and other special events.
Core Subjects
The courses we offer build a foundation of biblical teachings and principles. Our goal is to see students become leaders and fulfill all that God has called them to be. Some subjects include:
- Bible Memory & Study
- New Testament Survey
- Old Testament Survey
- The Book of Acts
- Personal Leadership
- Evangelism
- Basic Doctrine
- The Life of Abraham and more
In addition to these courses, there are also periodic modules throughout the semesters ranging in topics. Some topics include Creation Science, Marriage & Family, Comparative Religions, and many more.
Fees
Fees are non-refundable and must be paid with first tuition payment (unless otherwise stated).

Tuition
Option 1: Full tuition payment for full year paid at beginning of first semester: $4000
Option 2: Two individual payments, one payment at the beginning of each semester: $2000/semester
Certificate in Christian Ministry
Graduation Requirements
To earn a Certificate in Christian Ministry students must complete a minimum of 75 credits in the following:
- Biblical/Theological Studies
- Leadership & Personal Development
- Practicum – 8 credits/year which includes 12 hr/week
Our program is a combination of theological classes taught by many of our Pastors and leaders from Home Church. Relevant leadership development and practical ministry are an essential part of our Program. Students graduate not only with knowledge, but also with tools to lead in life and ministry!
Diploma in Christian Ministry
Graduation requirements - second year
Upon completing and graduating with a Certificate in Christian Ministry, a student can be accepted into the, second year, Diploma in Christian Ministry. Students qualify for a Diploma in Christian Ministry when they satisfactorily complete a minimum of 150 credits (two years) in the following:
- Biblical/Theological Studies
- Leadership & Personal Development
- Practicum – 8 credits/year which includes 18 hr/week
Participation in Graduation is reserved for full time students who achieve a GPA of at least 2.0.

STEP 2: Send this pastoral reference link to your 2 pastoral references and ask them to answer the questions.
STEP 3: Send a 300-500 word document via email describing what has been happening recently in your life as a Christian – include what you are expecting to get out of coming to Bible College.
STEP 4: Provide a copy of a clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search less than 6 months old.
